Quantum equations
Is velocity usually in nm or m? does it matter when using the equations if the question doesn't specify units?

Re: Quantum equations
The unit of the de Broglie wavelength is meters (m) so when using his formula I think it should be in m but after solving you can convert to nm for the answer if it asks.

Re: Quantum equations
In all of the equations used for the Quantum Mechanics unit, distance must be converted to meters. After a calculation is done, the problem may ask for a unit different than meters, such as Angstrom or nanometers. Only convert to these units after the calculation is complete, never before.

velocity is usually in m/s

Re: Quantum equations
I think typically in the test they say what units o put the answer in but m/s is always safe.
Re: Quantum equations
Honestly, any unit of distance in the metric system per a unit of time is fine because they can all be converted anyway, but normally people write it as m/s or maybe unless otherwise stated.
