### video modules

Are the "Wave properties of light, classical v quantum mechanics, and photon properties of light" video modules recommended for better understanding of the quantum world?

### Re: video modules

he didn't tell us specifically to do those ones like the other modules but since they're on his website I'm sure they would be very helpful otherwise he wouldn't have them there. And there's no harm in checking them out!

They're not mandatory but they are helpful, and the videos are pretty short so it won't take too much time to check them out!

### Re: video modules

The videos are really helpful if you aren't super familiar with quantum mechanics or if you need to refresh your memory from high school chemistry. All the extra videos he has provided for us help a lot, even if you have a pretty good understanding on quantum mechanics already. They were made to help us better understand the topics we will be covering the next week or two in lectures by providing us with a good foundation for understanding quantum mechanics.

I personally found these modules helpful!! The post-assessments also helped me after today's lecture. Although they might be easier than what we have on the textbooks, they are definietly helpful if you are new to these concepts.

### Re: video modules

As stated before, they aren't mandatory for this class or will affect your grade overall. However, I have found them helpful for review/ as an introduction to the materials being discussed. If you don't have a strong background in chemistry, like me, I highly recommend them. It should be the next four modules posted on the class website.

I found that the modules are very helpful to do before each week's lectures. There are a series of objectives for each week that Dr. Lavelle sent us and you can look at them to see which video to do in preparation for the week!

### Re: video modules

Although they're not required, I found that watching the lectures ahead of time really helped me understand his current lectures. I'd definitely suggest watching if you have some time!

The modules are not mandatory, but I highly recommend doing them! It really helps you realize what you know and what you need to work on.

They are not mandatory, but I did find them helpful! I believe Professor Lavelle went over wave properties of light in his friday lecture and he kinda touched upon the other video modules in yesterday's lecture, but it's good review :)
