Midterm
Hello!
Does anyone know what the format of the midterm is going to be (multiple-choice, etc). Also, is it curved or not?

Re: Midterm
Hi! I believe it is multiple choice, but besides that I do not know anything about the grading/curve involved.
Re: Midterm
I believe my TA mentioned that it would be multiple choice (how many questions I have no idea but hopefully not too many). As for the grading curve, I think that would be up to Dr. Lavelle and his TAs to decide.
Calculators should be allowed. Graphing, scientific, etc.

The midterm should be multiple-choice, but I'm not sure about a curve. Also, a calculator should be allowed!
Re: Midterm
Yes I also heard it is multiple choice. Make sure to print out the formula sheet and a periodic table.

Re: Midterm
Be sure to bring a calculator (any type, scientific or graphing is fine), constants and equation sheet and periodic table (print your own), blank scratch paper and a writing utensil, and your computer with respondus already installed.

Hi,
Dr. Lavelle sent an email that included all information regarding the midterm. He said it will be 15 multiple choice. I'm not sure if it will be curved.

Re: Midterm
The midterm is going to be in a room with your TA (specified by last name) with 15 multiple choice questions.

Re: Midterm
Hi! the midterm is 15 multiple choice questions, some from the textbook, and we have 50 minutes to do it, based on you lecture time there are different instructions on where the exam will take place. There will be calculators allowed and I have heard that in the past there could be a curve depending on your classes scores but that it usually does not affect your grade that much, so don't expect the curve to make such a dramatic change in your grade.
