What is the conversion from Hz to MHz

Postby Quinn W 2A » Wed Oct 20, 2021 4:33 pm

Can someone provide some more info about MHz and Hz? How they're different and they're conversion rate.

Hi!

You can refer to the conversion list here: https://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/prefixes.html

Mhz refers to Megahertz, which is 10^6. Hz is just Hz. You should look over the prefixes of the unit conversions so you are familiar with them before the final as they won't be provided.

Hi!
MHz indicates MegaHertz (10^6), so 1 million Hz = 1 MHz, and 1 Hz = 1x10^-6 MHz. Hope this helps!

One MHz is one MegaHz. The conversion from Mega to the base units would be 1 Mega = 10^6 base units. Thus, 1 MHz = 10^6 Hz.

hey!
One hertz, or Hz, means that the frequency is one cycle per second. ... Megahertz, or MHz, refers to millions, gigahertz, or GHz, refers to billions and terahertz, or THz refers to trillions of cycles per second.

The prefix Mega is always 10^6 and can be applied to any metric unit (g, m, etc).
