Standard Cell Potential Pattern

Hi, I was wondering if there were any patterns to the standard cell potentials. Can you predict based on where the element is located if it has a larger or smaller value than another element? Thank you!

You can probably tell based off of ionization energy (the energy required to remove an electron) the less energy it requires the more likely it is to give up an electron or "oxidize." The trend for ionization energy is increases as you go across the table and decreases as you go down a group. Although I'm not sure if this would work in describing transition metals, as there are many special cases such as how Plantinum is inert and etc.
