Do electrodes lose mass in anodes or cathodes?

Based on the achieve #6 from week 7&8, the anode loses mass and the cathode gains mass. I believe this mass is referring to the transfer of electrons when the oxidation at the anode transfers electrons from the reaction to the anode and through the cell to the cathode where they are transferred to the reduction reaction. I would think about the anode as losing mass because it loses electrons to the cathode, and the cathode acquires the mass before transferring the electrons to the reduction half-reaction.

I’m not sure if you could specifically say mass, but it’s definitely a possibility. However it is for sure that the anode is being oxidized and losing electrons and the cathode is being reduced and gaining electrons.

Since the anode is losing electrons I would say it is losing mass as well
