How do we know to use Zn, rather than Cu or Fe as the anode for the cell diagram?

We choose Zn as the anode because when looking at a standard reduction potentials chart, Zn is closer to the bottom and and has a cell potential that is more negative than Cu or Fe. The more positive the potential is the more likely it will be reduced.The anode is where oxidation occurs so Cu and Fe are more positive and hence more likely to be a cathode than an anode compared with Zn. (Not sure how to determine it without the chart; maybe someone else can help us?)

I had the same question since the chart was not provided in the question with the reduction values. But, I think in order to calculate the cell voltage we would have to be given the numbers so we could use that to figure it out
