H+

When do we include H+ when writing cell diagrams? In 14.23, part a,in what order should we write the reactants in the cathode side?

For the first part of your question, I watched this video yesterday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgHUk7apOMA and when the individual speaking balanced the reactions with H+s and H20s, he included H+ in the appropriate side of the cell diagram. However, he did not include water because the other reactant was aqueous, which implies that it dissolved in water.

When you need to balance out the oxygens, you add H20 to other side. Then to balance the H's from the H20, you add H+ to the side of the oxygens so everything balances out.
