E standard

When you flip an equation, such as what we have to do for the half reactions in some parts of 14.11, does the sign of E standard not change??

Typically, when we flip the reduction half reaction so that the electrons are on the left hand side, we are required to change the sign of E°.
However, when we are using the E°cell=E°cathode-E°anode, the subtraction operation already accounts for the sign switch, hence we can use the standard reduction potentials as given for both oxidation and reduction half reactions.
