Galvanic vs Concentration Cell

Postby nelms6678 » Sat Mar 17, 2018 11:47 am

Is it true that for E values Galvanic should be positive and Concentration should always = 0?

I think you mean EcellStandard, if that is what you mean, then for concentration cells, yes they should be zero. And I can't remember 100%, but yes I believe for Galvanic/Voltaic, they should be positive.

The E value of a concentration cell should always be 0, under standard conditions, because the concentration of the anode and cathode is equal.
