Can someone please explain how to go about obtaining the half reactions for 14.5 part d please? Thank you!

Do you mean 14.9 part b?
The half reactions would be Fe3+ going to Fe2+ (reduction) and 2Cr3+ going to Cr2O7^2- (Cr is oxidized from 3+ to 6+).
