Solids in cell diagrams
For the cell diagram that Dr. Lavelle covers in his review session, Ag(s)|AgBr(s)||Br-(aq)|Br2(g)|Pt(s), do we need a line between Ag(s) and AgBr(s)?

Nope; if two things are in the same phase, they are separated only by a comma.

You only use the single line to separate molecules that are in different states/phases (i.e. a solid and an aqueous solution). I'm pretty sure he made a mistake by writing that, and I think he pointed out that mistake during the review session too.

Pretty much what everyone else said, But I think its primarily the aqueous state that goes in the middle (if there is one).
