Homework questions

On 6L3D, I got a negative voltage of -.83V but I thought we couldn't get negative voltages... did I do something wrong?

Voltage can be negative. In lecture, Lavelle was just saying that a battery cannot have a negative voltage or it will not work.

A negative voltage is possible, but it means the reaction will not be spontaneous.
