Postby Peter Nguyen 2I » Mon Feb 25, 2019 10:56 pm

What's the difference between voltaic and galvanic cells?

You might be thinking about the difference between an electrolytic cell and galvanic cell. An electrolytic cell is one in which delta G is positive and the standard cell potential is negative. In a galvanic cell, delta G is negative and the standard cell potential is positive. galvanic=spontaneous and electrolytic=non-spontaneous
