Corrosion

A section in the textbook is on corrosion. Do we need to know this?

I believe that if no problems for that section are assigned in the textbook for it, we don't really need to know it. Seeing that Lavelle did not really address corrosion in his lectures, so far, we may not need to know it.

Also if it is not in the syllabus, then I don’t think we need to know it.

As far as I know it is not required to know, as Lavelle typically tests only what he addresses in class
