Water in a cell diagram
Do you include water in a cell diagram? What is it is in a gas phase, do you then include it?

No I don't think so. Also where would gaseous water be in a galvanic cell?

I think you do include water if it's not in liquid phase and if the H or O is one of the things being oxidized/reduced (this is rare but can happen), although I'm not really sure.

If water is liquid, you don't include it in the cell diagram if you have another aqueous solution.

My TA said that you don't include water in the cell diagram because with a galvanic cell, it is implied there's already water.

Re: Water in a cell diagram
Only add water in a cell diagram if it is being either oxidized or reduced. If not, there is no point in writing it as it only acts as a solvent and writing aqueous implies that water is present.
