ampere and coulomb?

i know the definition of the coulomb has to do with the ampere but when i look for what an ampere is i'm referenced to the same definition involving coulombs...i'm a bit confused lol. could someone summarize the significance of these units and what exactly they measure? thanks!

ampere is a measure of current, which is equivalent to a coulomb per second, coulomb is a measure of charge. an ampere is basically a coulomb per unit of time.

The Coloumb is equivalent to the charge in an arbitrary number electrons and Ampere is that charge per second

Amperes measure electric current (coulombs in a second) whereas coulombs measure electric charge (amp * second). Amperes thus measure how fast the amount of charge is moving.

Ampere is a measure of current, which is essentially the amount of charge passing over a certain period of time (C/s). Coulombs is simply a unit to quantify the amount of charge.
