Difference in phases

Postby Kennedi2J » Sun Feb 23, 2020 11:10 pm

Can anyone explain when we use , between 2 molecules vs. when we use | between molecules. For example Fe , Fe || Cl | Cl.

A comma used when the ions are in the same phase, and a line is used when they are not.

The single line is for difference in phases, whereas the commas represent them in the same solution.

The single line represents different phases while the comma simply separates molecules in the same phase.

The single line represents molecules in different phases, whereas a comma separates the molecules but represents the same phase.
