Concentration Cells

Can you use a salt bridge for a concentration cell or do you need a permeable membrane?

A salt bridge can be used in a concentration cell. It allows for the transfer of ions to neutralize both solutions.

I believe a salt bridge can be used and I think he showed a diagram in lecture on this in the concentration cell

I think you could use a salt bridge because the anion would still be able to move through it.

In the example during class, a porous membrane separated the two sides of the cell. However, only then anion was able to pass this membrane.

A salt bridge can be used to transfer ions.
