Concentration in Cell Notation

Postby Jessica Chen 2C » Mon Mar 02, 2020 9:31 am

Does anyone know if we have to write the concentration of aqueous solutions for cell notation problems on Test 2?

Typically for cell notation problems, you only need to include the phases of the species that are being oxidized or reduced. However, for problems involving concentration cells, it may be helpful to keep track of the concentrations of each species (because they are usually the same element in the same phase, with different concentrations).

If the question is asking you to find an unknown concentration in the cell diagram, then I would write it as part of it.
