Oxidizer vs reducer

How do you differentiate between which equation is the oxidizer and which is the reducer when you are given 2 equations?

If they provide you with the cell potentials of each reaction, the reaction with the lower cell potential is the one that is oxidized.

If its a galvanic cell, the cell potential is positive so based on that information, you can figure out which half reactio you have to flip and then based on if the electrons lie to the right of the half reaction, you know that that reaction depicts an oxidation, while if the electrons lie to the left, you know that the reaction depicts a reduction.

The oxidizer equation is where the reaction breaks apart electrons from the reactant. The reduction equation adds electrons to the reactant.
