Ecell is the cell potential, whereas Eocell is the standard cell potential which is measured at standard conditions, such as 1 atm, 25 degrees celsius

I agree the only difference is that Ecell does not require standard conditions like Excel.

In Friday's lecture, Dr. Lavelle said that that day's lecture material revolves around E knot Cell, meaning that the cell is in standard conditions (pressure 1 atm, temperature at 298K (I would assume)). Next lecture we will be talking about E cell, not in standard conditions.

Yes, cells in standard conditions/standard reduction potential in pressure at 1atm, temperature at 298K, and at 1mol solution.

Ecell= cell potential
Eocell= standard cell potential. this means it is the cell potential measured at standard conditions (1 atm, 25 deg C/298K)

Ecell is the cell potential, whereas Eocell is at the standard conditions.

To add on, these standard conditions are 1M solution or 1 atm at 25 degrees Celsius (298 K).
