Hi,
Would someone be able to explain to me how you decide to order the cell diagram? I know that in the textbook it says you put it in the order of "contact", but what does that mean? How do you figure any of this out? Thanks!

Re: Cell Diagrams Question
You put the anode on the left and cation on the right. Then, you separate the aqueous ions by a double line, representing the salt bridge. On either side of the ions, you write the solids separated by a single line. Also, if there are multiple solids or ions in the cathode or anode, make sure you write them in the order they appear in the half-reactions.

Re: Cell Diagrams Question
I agree with Eliana, I kept switching the side of the cathode and anode on sapling and it took me a while to figure out that the order mattered.
