Postby Rebekah_Park_2C » Mon Feb 01, 2016 2:14 pm

Can free energy be used as a redox potential?

Energy can be used to oxidize or reduce something, as long as the reaction needs energy to be spontaneous. Spontaneous reactions always proceed “downhill” to create products containing less free energy than the reactants, which can be expressed by Gibbs Free Energy.
