free energy and cell potential and work relationships
hii im still confused on the relationships between the formulas of free energy and cell potential and work, can someone explain?

Delta G > 0 implies instability. Delta G < 0 implies stability. Cell potential < 0 means there is thermodynamic tendency to reduce hydrogen. Cell potential > 0 means there is a thermodynamic to be reduced by hydrogen.

Free energy change (△G) determines the spontaneity of reactions. Cell potential is related to △G as demonstrated by the equation of △G = -nFEcell. The sign of a Ecell shows whether a reaction is spontaneous or non spontaneous. Work done by an electrochemical cell is given by w = -nFEcell(q), the sign of Ecell and q provides information on the direction of work.
