finding potentials or Gibbs free energy when given other reactions
When we are given some reactions and then told to find the Gibbs free energy or enthalpy for another reaction that includes parts of the given reactions how do we go about calculating the math, assigning what numerical value to what part of the reactions?

In most cases, it directly tells you the enthalpy, Gibbs, or whatever other value that you would need, and then you just plug them in. Utilizing and moving variables around in alternative equations helps to find the specific values.

Hi! There are a lot of ways to calculate for Gibbs free energy. The main being with ΔG° = ΔH° - TΔS°. So if you know enthalpy and entropy of the reactions you can calculate. Delta G applies to Hess's law as well (sum of prod)- summon reactants= total delta G. And we used other equations that you can find on constants/equations sheet! hope this helps!
