## n: negative or positive

So when you plug in n for the electron it corresponds to in equations will it always be negative?

Assuming you are talking about the equation dGo=-nFEo, the value of n is never negative as it corresponds to the number of electrons, not the charge of those electrons.

Yeah, if you're talking about that equation mentioned above, the n itself is not negative, but the negative sign in the equation can make your final answer negative. n is just the number of moles of electrons.
