### statements about E cell and E¤ cell

Why doesnt E¤ cell decrease as the cell rxn progresses? Also, the solutions manual says that E¤ can be calculated from K, but E cell cannot. The equation for Ecell is Ecell=E¤cell-(RT/nF) lnQ. If E¤cell can be calculated with K and Ecell is dependant on E¤, why cant E cell be found from K? Does it have to do with the extra lnQ?

E¤ doesn't change because it is an intensive property so it doesn't not depend on how much material there is. I think what the solutions manual means is that E cell cannot be calculated from K without knowing the value of E¤ first.
