Achieve Week 8 number 17

Postby RyanShielsLec3 » Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:13 pm

Hi there,

For question 17, I understand that we must use the Nernst Equation, but how do we derive the log(q)? Also where does Ph2 apply in this formula?

You can use PH2 along with [H+] to find Q, since pressure in atmospheres is proportional to concentration in mol/L. I'm honestly not sure about why we use the log version of the Nernst equation tho.

here is a screenshot of my work and how I applied pH2. I hope this helps!
