log q vs ln q equation

Postby gabby_15 » Sun Mar 17, 2024 12:48 pm

There are two equations on the sheet than look very similar but one has ln Q and the other log Q. What is the difference?

there isn't really that much of a difference since the Q value is the same, if needed you can just convert the ln Q into log Q which is also on the eq sheet

It is important to use the conversion factor
lnQ = logQ/log e = logQ/0.434 or log Q = ln Q/ln10 = lnQ/2.30

All of the addition and multiplication properties hold for both operations.
