$E_{cell} = E_{cell}^{\circ}-\frac{RT}{nF}\ln Q$

### Nernst Equation

When using the Nernst Equation, how do I know whether to use
E(cell)=E(cell)0 - RT/nF lnQ
or
E(cell)=E(cell)0 - 0.05916/n log Q?
In the practice finals in the back of the course reader, some problems use the first equation while others use the second.
Do they give the same result?

They give the same result as long as the temperature is at 298K. The second equation just multiplied all of the constants (assuming T is 298K) and also took into account the conversion from ln to log.
