Pressure in calculating Q
How does pressure affect the calculation of Q? Is the equation different than just [P]^n/[R]^n ?

Re: Pressure in calculating Q
I think Q is still calculated the same, but instead of using concentrations you are using pressures.
Re: Pressure in calculating Q
make sure when you are given the concentrations or pressure that they are the same units!

Re: Pressure in calculating Q
If you remember from 14A as long as we are studying something in a gaseous state we can use partial pressure or concentration to calculate Q since the pressure of gas will also affect the reaction direction.

Re: Pressure in calculating Q
When calculating Q for a reaction consisting of gases, Molarity and partial pressures are used.
