Standard hydrogen electrode

Postby Brandon Mo 4K » Fri Feb 22, 2019 1:18 am

What exactly is a standard hydrogen electrode and what do we need to know about it?

The standard hydrogen electrode is a measurement of the oxidation-reduction potentials for the thermodynamic scale. Basically it s a very good introduction to oxidation-reduction reactions. Here's a picture to help visualize the oxidation taking place on the left (Lose Electron Oxidized) and the reduction taking place on the right (Gain Electron Reduction).
