What's the purpose of the nernst equation and how do we use it?

### Re: Nernst equation

It helps you find the cell potential when the cell is not under standard conditions, like when the cell is not at 1M

### Re: Nernst equation  [ENDORSED]

The Nernst Equation shows us how cell potential is dependent on concentration. We use this equation when we want to calculate the cell potential using the concentration of our reactants and products. Vice versa, we would also be able to calculate the concentration of reactant or product when given the cell potential. This equation is useful because it can be used to calculate cell potential at any stage of a reaction.
