Calculate the reaction quotient, Q, for the following cell reactions, given the measured values of the cell potential. Balance the chemical equations by using the smallest whole number coefficients:
a) Pt(s) | Sn4+(aq),Sn2+(aq) || Pb4+(aq),Pb2+(aq) | C(gr), E=+1.33 V
The answer I got for this problem was Q = 2.68 x 10^6 (approx. 3.00 x 10^6). The solution manual says Q = 10^6. How much should we round for these types of problems? What are the sig figs? Or is my answer just off?

I also was unsure about why they rounded to one sig fig. I tried it with the log equation instead of ln, and got 10^6 that way.

I got the same answer, it seems as though they chose to round early from 14.7 to 15. However, this would not explain the discrepancy.

I got 2.68 * 10^6 as well using ln, but why would we get just 10^6 (a completely different answer) by using log instead ln?

Just wanted to say I also got that answer... We have this same exact question in the seventh edition (6.N13) so I am also confused as to why they completely disregarded the 2.68
