6N1 b) error?

Postby Samantha Hoegl Roy 2C » Sat Mar 09, 2019 12:17 pm

For this question, the solution manual calculates the K value with n = 2, yet it seems to me like there is only one electron being transferred in the reaction
In3+(aq) + U3+(aq) --> In2+(aq) + U4+(aq)
why are 2 electrons being transferred or is it a mistake?

It's a mistake. The errors in the solution manual pdf for the 6th edition shows the correct answer.
