### Oxidizing Power - Test 2

The question asked to rank Pt, Pb, and Cu in order of increasing power going from their neutral to second oxidation state. I assumed this meant we had to switch the signs of each Eº, considering all of their reactions were listed backward. And since reducing power increases with a more negative Eº, I got the order Pb(+0.13 V) < Cu(-0.34 V) < Pt(-1.2 V). What did I do wrong?

Since the question was asking for reducing power and the standard potentials for the reduction reactions were given, you did not need to flip the signs.

You don't flip the signs.
