why do they use the number .0257 V instead of .05916 V as written on the equation sheet?

Be careful! One uses log10 and the other is for loge (ln). 0.0257 V goes with ln and the number you found on the equation sheet goes with log10.

It's usually better just to use RT/nF because you will get the exact answer and you can change the values if needed.
