Is corrosion going to be on the test? I do not recall going over it in class.
Also, if it is, can someone explain what occurs in this process?

Corrosion usually happens at the anode because as the metal is oxidized into metal ions, it loses mass. Over time, this builds up until there is noticeable corrosion.

Corrosion is when metals return to their natural oxidation states. It causes a loss in mass, which corresponds to the anode of a galvanic cell. To prevent this, another metal like zinc or chromium is used to prevent the corrosion
