Can anyone explain this question to me:
What is the approximate chemical formula of rust? (b) What is the oxidizing agent in the formation of rust? (c) How does the presence of salt accelerate the rusting process?

I think its just a biological application that we should be aware of, but didn't go over in class. Basically to form rust, iron is oxidized by O2 and H2O.
