electrodes

What reference electrodes is commonly used for aqueous electrochemical systems?
What reference electrodes is commonly used for electrochemical systems which used organic solvent?
I have seen people saying that calomel electrodes cannot be used for halide containing reaction, Why is that the case? I thought calomel electrode itself requires the electrode to be dipped in some chloride salt (KCl, LiCl, NaCl etc.)

The most common reference electrode is the standard hydrogen electrode (SHE).
This is the reference electrode I discuss in class.

There are other reference electrodes:

The calomel electrode uses mercury, but given its toxicity and environmental impact it is often avoided.

None aqueous reference electrodes are made but difficult to compare measured values as compound pKa and measured E° are solvent dependent.
