Types of Batteries

Postby Gabriel Ordonez 2K » Sun Mar 08, 2020 7:28 pm

How do rechargeable batteries differ from normal ones? Do said rechargeable batteries differ greatly in products like phones or vehicles?

the chemical rxn in rechargeable batteries is reversible while in non rechargeable batteries it is not.

Like what was said above I think non rechargeable batteries have reactions that are one way (irreversible) while rechargeable batteries contain reversible reactions.

The difference in products is that usually for stuff that needs a lot of power you would use rechargeable batteries and for stuff that doesn't need that much you could use disposable ones.

Rechargeable batteries use reversible chemical reactions. Chemical reactions used in non rechargeable batteries are irreversible when a current is passed in the reverse direction

Rechargeable batteries rely on reversible reactions. Non rechargeable reactions do not

The difference is that rechargeable batteries utilize reversible chemical reactions that can be "fueled" by the power you can get from a power outlet for example. This allows for energy to be transferred back into the battery.

Rechargeable batteries use reversible chemical reactions. This makes sense because the current of energy can be reversed if the battery is able to be charged (energy put into it).

Chemical reactions used in non-rechargeable batteries are irreversible when a current is passed in the reverse direction. This makes sense because the current can't go in the other direction without some outside influence.

Rechargeable batteries utilize chemical reactions that are reversible, so energy can be put back in. Nonrechargable batteries use irreversible reactions.

rechargeable batteries are unique in that they only depend on reversible reactions
