The difference between kinetics controlled reactions and thermodynamics controlled reactions is the aspects that influence the rate and outcome of the reaction. Kinetics controlled reactions are primarily affected by the rates of reaction and the activation barrier. Thermodynamics controlled reactions are affected by the thermodynamic stability of both the reactants and products.
