When solving homework problems, are we only suppose to be finding rates in (mol)/(L*s) or are we allowed to also express it in (mmol)/(L*s) depending on the units given in the problem? More specifically, on a quiz or test, will we be marked off for using mmol instead of mol?
I would think that using different metric prefixes doesn't really make a difference (as long as in the end, it is correctly stated) but if the question uses different units (ex atm vs pascals, kelvins vs celsius) I agree that you ought to give the answer in the same units as you started with in the question prompt.
