For Problem 15.19 how would you know whether or not you should convert mmol to mol when solving for k? You get a different answer if you solve after converting to mol than if you don't convert to mol. Also, in problem 15.17, when solving for k, you don't convert mmol to mol. Why is this?

I thought that we keep it to whatever units they give us. Unless they give us another piece of information that deals with another unit then we would convert it.

I don't think it really matters. As long as you write down your units for your final answer, you should be fine. You could always just convert it to both just in case.
