besides knowing what the parts of the derived equations stand for like the slope and such, do we need to know how to draw the graphs for zero order, first order, and second order reactions?

I would know them just in case, especially since Dr. Lavelle did go over them during lecture. In the textbook, these graphs are found on page 631 in Chapter 15.6.

If you understand what parts of the equations represent y=mx+b the graphs should make sense!

For the final I'm pretty sure we won't have to draw them ourselves, but we may be given a graph of one and have to figure out what order it is.

I would assume so, as they will aid in finding the y intercepts, and the overall shape of the graph, based on the order.

I would know the different graphs; however, if you were to know the different parts of the equation, graphing it shouldn't be too hard but it would probably be wise to know the graphs of the different reactions.

They may also say in the problem that a certain type of graph is a straight line, which tells you the order, and therefore which equation to use!

I would suggest knowing at least which graphs for a reaction can help you determine which order a reaction may be. There could easily be a question giving you three graphs in which you have to figure out visually which graph is the most linear and therefore determine the reaction order.

You will most likely need to interpret them, but not draw them. It will be useful knowing the sign of the slopes of the different orders
