For problem 14.77 in the book, we are given three reactions:

a) NO+NO-->N2O2
b) Cl2-->Cl+Cl
c) NO2+NO2-->NO+NO3

According to the answer for part d of the question, b and c are radical chain initiating. Can someone explain to me what this means? Thank you!
