I think it’s M/s - mols*L^-1*s^-1

Units are change in concentration per second (mol x L-1 x s-1). Keep in mind that because of this, the reaction constant k may have different units for different rate laws.

The units for rate are M/s, or mol/Ls, because rate is change in concentration over time.

a rate is denoted as a change in concentration over units of time. so M/s or mol/L^-1 x s^-1 would be the proper units

are the units for rate different for reactions of different orders?

The units for the rate are always going to be moles per liter per second, but the units for the rate constant k will change according to the overall order. k changes so that the proper units cancel so that the rate stays at moles per liter per second.

”The units of a reaction rate are concentration/time. This is most often M / s, where M is molarity (moles per liter) and s is time in seconds.”

for the rate, it is usually M/s, but the rate constant's units depend on which order it is.
