For homework problem 7A.15 how do we know which experiment to divide by? I thought that it was by the experiment with the largest initial rate is this true?

We divide by the experiments where the 2 other reactions have constant concentrations. For example, to find the concentration of C, divide Exp1 by Exp 4.

You should be able to compare by focusing on one initial concentration that is different, while the others stay the same.
For example, to find the order of A, you should be able to compare the first and second experiment since the rate shows that the concentration of A differs form 10 to 20, while the concentration of B stays the same from 100 to 100. This is able to focus on the A in order to divide the second experiment rate with the first experiment rate.
