### Catalysts and Rate Laws

If there is a catalyst in the slow step of a reaction mechanism, is it included in the rate law even if it cancels in the overall reaction?

Based on a previous answer given by Chem_Mod, rate laws can include catalysts if it is an elementary reaction.

i don't think you would include it in the overall reaction if it gets consumed.
